Erb scores fourth-place finish in North-South 100 prelim at Florence
Best Performance Motorsports and Tyler Erb were one of 61 teams entered at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) on Thursday afternoon for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned North-South 100.
With twin preliminaries slated for Thursday and Friday, Erb squeezed into his prelim on Thursday with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Chasing a $6,000 payday, Tyler advanced forward nine spots to register a fourth-place finish. He followed Jonathan Davenport, Devin Moran, and Drake Troutman across the line with Josh Rice coming in fifth.
After Friday’s preliminary ended in a B-Main, Tyler raced into Saturday’s $75,000-to-win North-South 100 finale with a heat race triumph. Starting the 100-lapper in sixth, Erb was eliminated after getting collected in a lap-50 tangle.
