Erb goes 23rd-to-6th in XR's Spring Thaw at Bulls Gap
With Friday’s opener moved to Sunday, Tyler Erb returned to the driver’s seat of the Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model on Saturday for the XR Super Series-sanctioned Spring Thaw at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.).
After breaking on the second lap of his heat, Erb stormed into the $30,000-to-win A-Main with a ninth-to-fourth run in his B-Main. Starting in 23rd, Tyler advanced through the field 17 spots in the 60-lapper to register a sixth-place finish.
On Sunday, Tyler followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a consolation victory. With a $10,000 payday on the line in the feature, Erb muscled forward six positions to finish 11th.
