Terbo opens 2023 with a pair of top-10 finishes in Wild West Shootout
A little over a month after bagging a $30,000 payday in the Gateway Dirt Nationals finale, Tyler Erb kicked off his 2023 campaign on Saturday afternoon aboard his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model at Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.) for the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout.
With 47 Late Models packed in the pit area for the 17th running of the event, Erb got off to a slow start in time trials but rebounded in his heat with a seventh-to-third run. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in 11th, Tyler gained four spots to register a seventh-place finish.
On Sunday afternoon, Tyler followed up a sixth-place outing in his heat with a third-to-first showing in his B-Main. Wheeling his way into the top-10 in the feature, Erb passed 10 cars in the 40-lapper to place eighth.
