Sixth-place finish in John Bradshaw Memorial at Ponderosa
Tyler Erb and Best Performance Motorsports invaded Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) on Friday night for the 16th annual John Bradshaw Memorial. Drawing 30 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Tyler followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group behind Jonathan Davenport with a third place finish in his heat. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in 11th, Erb marched forward five spots to register a sixth place finish.
The following night at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the Bob Miller Memorial River Days Rumble 50, Erb posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Jimmy Owens, which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $12,000 on the line, Tyler was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on the ninth lap with motor issues.
On Sunday afternoon, Tyler stopped at Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, W.Va.) for the Beckley USA 100. Earning the third-starting position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Erb wrestled way the top spot from Chase Junghans on lap 35 and held the lead for the next 49 circuits. With Zack Dohm sneaking past on lap 84, Tyler put heavy pressure on Dohm in the final 10 laps but came up short to finish behind Dohm, with Ryan Montgomery, Henry Hornsby III, and Tanner English completing the Top-5 finishers.
