April 28, 2019 - 4th Place Finish in Atomic 100 at Atomic Speedway
1With Mother Nature wiping out the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series doubleheader slated in Illinois, Tyler Erb headed to Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio) on Sunday for the Atomic 100. Following the fifth fastest time in a field of 31 Super Late Models, Erb cruised to a heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Jumping out to an early lead, Tyler lost the top spot Tyler Carpenter until Erb regained the lead when Carpenter suffered a flat-tire. Holding on until lap-55, Tyler surrendered the lead to Tim McCreadie and went on to place 4th behind McCreadie, Kyle Stickler, and Devin Moran with Tyler Carpenter coming in 5th. (Zach Yost photo)

April 20, 2019 - Erb Suffers Battery Failure in Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway
1Tyler Erb entered a single event over the weekend in his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 New Point Lighting and Design/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model. The 11th annual Slocum 50 took the team to 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa), where Erb had his sights set on the $10,555 top prize.

Thirty-seven competitors entered the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) event, and Tyler raced to a third-place finish in his heat race, which locked him into the 10th-starting spot for the finale.

Unfortunately, Erb's hopes of a first Slocum title were sidelined by a battery failure early in the feature, while he was racing inside the Top 10. He was credited with a 19th-place finish.

April 14, 2019 - 7th Place Finish in Buckeye Spring 50 at Atomic
1Thursday night saw the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series kick off the four-day slate at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the fifth annual Buckeye Spring 50. In a field of 33 cars, Erb secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind R.J. Conley. Starting in 5th, Tyler dropped two spots in the 50-lapper to place 7th.

After losing Friday’s program at Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio) to rain, Erb headed to Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Maryland) on Saturday for the Stanley Schetrompf Classic. Coming in 2nd in his heat behind Jimmy Owens, Tyler earned the 7th-starting position for the $12,000-to-win A-Main. Falling short of a Top-10 finish, Erb slipped back to a 14th place outing.

Sunday’s Rumble by the River at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) fell victim to Mother Nature.

April 6, 2019 - Tyler Erb Records a Pair of 9th Place Finishes in LOLMDS Action
1Tyler Erb returned to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) circuit over the weekend in his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 New Point Lighting and Design/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model as the tour sanctioned a pair of events in Tennessee and Georgia.

Action opened on Friday night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee), where 29 cars registered for action in the "Tennessee's Action Track 50." A third-place finish in his heat race locked Tyler into the 12th-starting spot for the 50-lap, $12,000-to-win finale.

During the course of the main event he raced his way to a ninth-place finish.

1Saturday night took the team south to North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia), where another $12,000 top prize was on the line for the LOLMDS competitors. A runner-up position in his heat race found Tyler earning the eighth-starting spot for the 50-lap feature. (Heath Lawson photo)

As the main event went green, Tyler began clawing his way forward through the field. By lap 32 he was up to the second spot as he set his sights on leader, Jonathan Davenport. Unfortunately, he hooked the cushion on lap 37, causing him to spin to a stop.

Tyler was able to continue as he rejoined the tail of the field. Over the remainder of the event he rebounded to finish ninth.

Tyler continues to sit second in the latest LOLMDS standings and leads the Rookie of the Year battle. For complete results and the latest standings, please visit
