July 19th, 2014 - Tyler Erb Travels to I-30 Speedway with SUPR Late Models
1The P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racers (SUPR) was slated to sanction a doubleheader at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) over the weekend, but rain on Friday reduced the action to a single event on Saturday evening.

With a $2,000 top prize on the line a strong field of twenty-eight entries took to the 1/4 mile oval. Struggles in preliminary action forced Tyler to utilize a Series' Provisional to lock into the nineteenth starting spot for the 30 lap main event. Heavy and rough track conditions greeted the feature competitors, and during the course of the race Erb advanced to a fifteenth place finish in the final rundown.

A $2,000-to-win program was contested at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas), and drew a field of nineteen competitors to the 1/4 oval. After drawing the fourth starting spot for his heat race Tyler claimed the win, which locked him into the outside-front-row alongside Rob Litton for the finale.

At the drop of the green flag Erb took charge of Litton and Jon Mitchell to lead from the outset. Lap traffic entered the picture for Erb on lap fourteen as fourth starting Ray Moore began applying heavy pressure to the leader. Moore showed Erb his nose on lap seventeen as the duo battled through lap traffic, with Moore leading by a half-car-length at the line.

Within a lap Mitchell seized the opportunity on the side-by-side battle of Moore and Erb, to make it a three-way battle for the top spot. Erb and Mitchell waged war for second, when Erb's momentum was lost from the lap car of Ronny Adams who was attempting to retire his car to the infield. The unfortunate delay shuffled Erb back to fifth.

In the closing laps before the checkered flag, Erb recovered to a fourth place finish behind race winner, Ray Moore, Jon Mitchell, and Rob Litton.

The weekend concluded on Saturday night at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas), which saw the winner's purse increased to $3,000. Twenty-one P&W Sales SUPR Late Models registered for the event, and a fourth place finish in his heat locked Tyler into the tenth starting spot for the feature event at the 3/8 mile oval. In the main event Erb capped a successful weekend with a fifth place finish behind race winner, Jon Mitchell, Rob Litton, Patrik Daniel, and Ray Moore.

Tyler is now fourth in the latest series standings. Full results from the events as well as the latest series standings are available at
