September 28th, 2013 - Bizarre Night for Erb at Battleground
1Tyler Erb made his first Crate Late Model start of the season on Saturday night with a trip to Battleground Speedway (Highland, Texas) for a $1,000-to-win, NeSmith Weekly Late Model Series event.

Tyler won his heat race by half a track to earn the pole position for the feature. As the race went green Erb shot to the lead, but was unexplainably called for jumping the start, so he was pushed back to the 3rd starting spot as the race attempted to get underway again. His luck would take another turn for the worst, when he was collected in a multi-car spin. As a result he restarted on the tail of the pack.

Despite being on the tail of the field Erb mounted a charge back through the field and was up to 3rd, when he made a daring pass of the top two cars. Just as he completed the pass, a car stopped forcing the caution flag to wave again, which negated the pass. On the ensuing restart Tyler shot to the lead and led a lap before the track lights went out.

Scoring, again unexplicably, reverted back two laps scoring the event complete with Erb in the 3rd spot. Overall it was a very disappointing night.

1The P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racers (SUPR) resumed the 2013 season on Saturday night with a $2,500-to-win event at Gator Motorplex (Willis, Texas).

The night started great for Tyler as he rocketed from the 4th starting spot in his heat race to score the win, which locked him into the main event. Unfortunately before the feature could be contested rain arrived, forcing the event to be nixed.

September 7th, 2013 - Erb Finishes Eighth at Boothill in 41st Annual LSDTC
1Erb Motorsports made the last minute decision to take their #91 Erb Racing/Rocket by Litton/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) in the 41st Annual Louisiana Dirt Track Championship over the weekend.

The $4,000-to-win event drew a field of 18 entries to the facility, and via preliminary action Tyler earned the 4th starting spot for the finale. Unfortunately he would be collected in a lap 1 melee in the feature, which forced him to the tail of the field. He would go on to rebound to finish 8th in the final rundown.
