August 28th, 2016 - Erb Follows WoO Series to Michigan for Keyser's Great Lakes Shootout
1On Wednesday night Tyler Erb made the trip to Tri-City Motor Speedway (Auburn, Michigan) to compete in the American Ethanol Late Model Tour. In a stout field of 46 Super Late Models, Erb dealt with issues throughout the night. Following some problems in qualifying, Tyler withdrew from his heat race after the 4th lap. With a B-Main appearance for his last chance at making the show, Erb decided to save equipment and scratched from the consolation event.

1Returning to action on Friday night, Tyler was one of 40 cars signed in at Merritt Speedway (Lake City, Michigan) for the two-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series special event. Transferring the Top 4 out of the heats, Tyler edged his way into the opening night A-Main with a 4th place finish. Starting in 13th, Erb fell back to a 21st place outing in the 25-lap A-Main.

With the weather ruining Saturday night’s plans, Tyler returned on Sunday for the second night of the Keyser’s Great Lakes Shootout. Falling one position short of a transfer spot in his heat with a 5th place finish, Erb scored a runner-up finish in his B-Main behind Steve Casebolt earning him the 19th-starting spot for the $10,000-to-win feature. Moving up six positions in the 50-lap affair, Tyler Erb posted a 13th place finish.

August 14th, 2016 - Erb Stops at Farley Speedway for MLRA Show
1Running in the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned program, Tyler Erb stopped at Farley Speedway (Farley, Iowa) on Monday night for the Monday Mayhem event. Recording a runner-up finish in his heat behind Jesse Stovall, Tyler earned the 7th-starting spot for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Tyler Erb worked his way up to a 3rd place finish behind Chris Simpson and Ryan Gustin with Jason Rauen and Mason Zeigler rounding out the Top 5. (Mike Ruefer Photo)

1On Thursday night Erb returned with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series for the Fulton Bank 50 at Delaware International Raceway (Delmar, Delaware). Breaking a drive shaft during time trials and failing to record a time, Tyler logged a 6th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the top three, Erb scored a runner-up finish behind Ricky Elliott giving him the 19th-starting spot for the feature. Gaining seven positions in the 50-lapper, Tyler Erb recorded a 12th place outing.

The next stop brought 39 Super Late Models to Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Maryland) for the Gunter’s Honey 50.  After placing 9th in his heat and failing to transfer into the main event, Tyler edged his way into the show with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main. Starting in 21st, Erb improved 11 spots in the 50-lap A-Main posting a 10th place outing.

The follow night Tyler was one of 33 cars signed in at Winchester Speedway for another WoO sanctioned $10,000-to-win A-Main. Falling back to a 7th place finish in his heat, Erb transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Sending the top three, Tyler Erb logged a 7th place outing bringing an early end to his night.

1Wrapping up the busy week, Tyler stopped at Eriez Speedway (Erie, Pennsylvania) on Sunday for the final night of the four-day stint with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series. Grabbing the last transfer position in his heat race with a 4th place finish, Erb rolled off 16th for the 50-lap A-Main. August 6th, 2016 - Tyler Gains 20 Spots in USA Nationals at Cedar Lake
1Following the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series to the Badger State, Tyler Erb was one of 28 Super Late Models signed in at Shawano Speedway (Shawano, Wisconsin) on Tuesday night for the Sundrop Shootout. Transferring the top six out of the heats, Erb scored a 6th place finish edging his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Moving up two positions in the 50-lap A-Main, Tyler logged a 15th place outing.

Returning to action on Thursday after having Wednesday night off, Tyler headed to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) for the opening night of the three-day USA Nationals. After laying down the 5th fastest time in his group of 25 cars, Erb fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 4th place finish. Transferring the top two of out the B-Main, Tyler logged a 3rd place finish forcing him to use a provisional to make the $6,000-to-win A-Main. Coming from the 26th-starting spot, Tyler Erb stormed through the field 12 positions in the 30-lapper posting a 14th place finish.

On Friday night needing a 3rd place finish or better to lock his spot into the USA Nationals A-Main on Saturday night, Tyler fell one position short with a 4th place outing. Getting voted into one of the 13 FANSFund Dash slots for the 12-lap $2,500-to-win affair, Erb failed to make it out with ignition issues.
